: Widgets Issue : tylexthai September 26, 2011, 11:26:52 AM Hi - I'm having issue with installing widgets on the home page. I followed the widgets configuration instructions but still unable to get the widgets to display on my home page. For example: I try to display widgets on the right bar, after dragging the widgets to the right bar I entered widget ID "text-26" in the "Shape 5 Political Options" box but still couldn't the widget to display. Can you please let me know if I'm missing something? Thanks.
: Re: Widgets Issue : Tristan Rineer September 26, 2011, 11:30:56 AM The widget ID is for styling the widgets, not for making them appear. To tell the widgets to show/hide on a specific page, you just need to fill out the "Widget Context" form for that widget in the Widgets admin area.
Can you provide a link to your site so I can see what is happening? : Re: Widgets Issue : tylexthai September 26, 2011, 11:37:52 AM Thanks for quick response. I did fill out the "widget context" form and have tried every single selection but still couldn't get the widgets to appear on the home page.
Here is the link my URL: www.dptrader.com : Re: Widgets Issue : tylexthai September 26, 2011, 11:40:46 AM I also have "Widget Logic" installed. Is that something that could be conflict with "Widget Context"?
: Re: Widgets Issue : Tristan Rineer September 26, 2011, 11:43:00 AM Yes, "Widget Logic" will most likely cause a conflict with "Widget Context"; they use some very similar functions.
: Re: Widgets Issue : Tristan Rineer September 26, 2011, 11:43:15 AM If you PM me login information for your site (you can create a temporary account if you would like, but it needs admin access), I'll be glad to take a look at your settings and see what's causing the problem.
WARNING!: Do Not post site login details on an open board, always send through PM. : Re: Widgets Issue : tylexthai September 26, 2011, 11:52:02 AM I removed "Widget Logic" and it seems to work now. Thanks.
: Re: Widgets Issue : Tristan Rineer September 26, 2011, 11:56:22 AM Widget Logic and Widget Context are both designed to do the same thing, but Widget Context (while still somewhat complicated), is a lot more user friendly.
