What you can do is enter a full site URL for the background image in your template parameters area and this should fix the issue

Could you tell me specifically what the field name is in the Menu Manager for a page? The documentation is not up date on this!

HOWEVER --- When I create a submenu item (e.g. hotel) using the same image e.g. images/background_w.png (this is a solid royal blue) then both the submenu item page and the main menu item just return to black background. If I "unpublish" the submenu item, then the main menu goes back to blue without doing anything else. So somehow it seems a submenu item is overriding the color settings for everything up the line. I have triple checked all the settings on both and can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. I even made a direct copy of the main menu item article and created the submenu article from it just to make sure those settings were the same. I just updated the template a week ago, so perhaps try overwriting with a fresh download. Got an error on the install that said:
JInstaller: :Install: File does not exist /home/nassreun/public_html/tmp/install_4f7be97dd2cf2/language/en-GB/en-GB.tpl_seaofglass.ini and then just below it Installing template was successful. But there is no change in the website and there is a link image on each of the main and subpages and I don't know for sure that the new upload was really successful. Could you please take a look and wave your magic wand over the site to get it to behave? Thanks!
