: SiteShaper DB connection problem [Resolved]

Not sure if I should leave the other post about this up (found a related thread when searching, but the support info suggests posting issues within each templates forum)

I've got a Rackspace Cloud Sites hosting environment where I've installed a number of joomla setups (1.5, 1.6, 1.7) historically with no connection issues.

When attempting to plug in the Database Information from my control panel during an Appwonder Siteshaper install, I keep getting:

Could not connect to the database. Connector returned number: 2

You can see the error message in the attached image.

I've successfully used the same credentials entered on this screen to connect via phpMyAdmin, and have confirmed with the hosting support techs that there are no known / open DB connection issues.

Help!

I've done a simple php connection test from a little db.php file I uploaded, and it works from the server and connects with the credentials I'm entering into the Joomla Installer

If you PM me all your database details that you are entering and your site shaper URL I can take a look for you.

Sincerely,

When in doubt, "restart."

Just decided to delete the whole set of uploaded files and try again.  Worked like a charm.

Thanks Jonahh for the offer ... was 5 minutes away from taking you up on that!
