: This module is infuriating : antfarm March 05, 2012, 11:07:35 PM I can't tell you how much stress I've had with this thing. I'm too far down the track to ditch it though.
So as my previous posts attest I'd successfully modified it to my liking - however in IE8 on Windows the Captcha input would not work. I thought I'd re-install the module from scratch and start again. Joomla 2.5.0 Stable with mod_s5_reservations_current.zip installed Now I have all the original problems like CHOOSE_PACK_TITLE showing (language.ini file not being read) But before fixing these I wanted to see it working in all 3 Mac browsers at least before carefully adding mods to fix without breaking. However, without any modifications at all - the module works in Chrome but NOT on Safari 5.1.3 Mac and sporadically in Firefox 10.0.2. The thing stalls at captcha input I'm at my wits end. Shape 5 can you help? http://www.goldstarlimousines.com/index.php : Re: This module is infuriating : antfarm March 06, 2012, 01:51:09 AM I think I may be seeing the reason why the captcha code is not working. I seem to be getting 2 session ID cookies at once, one with www.domain name.com and the the other (without www) domain.com.
I think this is causing the script to generate a second code therefore making the retyping of the original in error because it's not matching. When I successfully completed the form on the shape5 demo site - there was only 1 session ID cookie. Jonah - Does this sound feasible? : Re: This module is infuriating : jonahh March 06, 2012, 02:03:19 PM Hmm not really sure, just tried safari chrome and ff and all worked but not on a mac either. What happens if you completely clear your cache on the browser its not working on and then try? Just curious if its cause you already submitted and its causing an issue some reason with a cookie or session. Other than that not really sure what would be going on
: Re: This module is infuriating - SOLVED : antfarm March 07, 2012, 03:39:44 AM OK - I think my reasoning was correct. After seeing the double session cookie, I went to my configuration.php file and changed the live site URL to include www. as opposed to just http://domainname.com
This seems to have done the trick and now the captcha entry works fine on all IE browsers and Mac Safari and Firefox. I'm a happy man...finally. : Re: This module is infuriating : jonahh March 07, 2012, 02:18:33 PM Ah ok, good to hear!
: Re: This module is infuriating : labadmends June 22, 2017, 02:30:12 PM I've spent far too much time on this, trying to find out why it stalls at the recaptcha to no avail. None of the suggestions found in these pages have worked. There are far better options for making reservations. I'm bailing on this one. I suggest anyone having this problem simply find another solution and remove this module completely.
