I am trying to eliminate the LOGIN_SEARCH_WRAP from the TOP_MENU module position only.  Is there a way to do this?  I don't want to lose it for the Search or Login module positions.

I may be going about it all wrong.  What I am trying to do is float a custom html module in the same position as you would find the login, search, and top_menu module positions.  The problem I have is that the LOGIN_SEARCH_WRAP, brown background image is behind my image.  I don't want that to happen, but I also do not want to remove the brown wrapper from the login or the search module positions.

Can this be done?

I'm not really sure I understand. If you remove those wraps it will remove the positions as well. If you need a custom html module up there that would require custom programming. It was not designed for a position in that area.
