: Data Dump for City Portal on 2.5? : charlestm May 03, 2012, 01:53:18 AM Does anyone have a Data Dump for the City POrtal Template for Joomla 2.5? The download on Shape5 is currently for Joomla 1.5. I'd like to start off with a site that looks like the demo (in 2.5), and then modify.

You can try the following, but make sure you back up your current site, in case something goes wrong.
Install the SiteShaper, update Joomla to 2.5.4 and then update the template to the current release, plus any extensions installed in the SiteShaper that have also been updated. The Joomla update is the biggest part of it, but there are instructions for several methods of updating on joomla.org. The jupgrade method is the easiest, but is also most likely to fail somewhere, and I've had mixed results with it. I've installed those before, but this one for City Portal results in a "Restricted Access" error. I couldn't get past that error, so instead, I decided to install Joomla 2.5 first, and then install the City Portal template. This approach seems to have worked fine so far. I could certainly manually build a site that looks like the demo, but it would be faster if I could find a data dump from an existing Joomla 2.5 database that's already using the City Portal template.
