You can remove the date in the template options. When you say "bottom bar" do you mean the footer, that normally holds copyright info etc??

Do you mean remove the menu, as seen in your screenshot, or just change the colour?

i would like to remove the entire bar and keep only the menu inside the body of the site

In the template settings, you can set "Menu Type" to no menu, and then publish your menu module elsewhere in the site.

i wanted to test a few color combinatio and i've noticed that there is a inner background and an ''outside'' background

i wanted to modify the outside one too is it done via css or via a repeating image?

and can you indicate me where is it located? eg the in the css or the name of the immage

unfortunately no its on a local server


i've replaced the main background image but there are some kind of bottom right and left border which are  grey

The body color is set at the very beginning of template_css.css

hmm i can only find backgroud of the body which is not what i wanted

check the attach the white don't fit too well with the 2 line on the right and left what can be done for you?

i dont realy like a too dark background so i wnated to make it more lighter

It's very difficult to know what you need to change, if I can't see what you see. Giving a description is okay, but only up to a point. I could really do with seeing it live.

Try this -

in template_css.css change the following section -

body  {
    font-family: tahoma;
   background:url(../images/s5_background.jpg) no-repeat top center;
   color:#333333;
   }

to this -

body  {
    font-family: tahoma;
   background:url(../images/s5_background.jpg) repeat-x top center;
   color:#333333;
   }
