: ie7 problems when tested on multiple machines : michaedt July 20, 2012, 08:13:09 AM I opened several of your templates on multiple machines with various configurations of IE7, Vista, XP, Windows 7, Mac, etc. and I continue to get the following errors on Metro in IE7 (note: I opened the template only---that is, without the frame for other templates):
1) Accordion menu on right side of screen is not properly formatted and thus unusable (same error occurs in IE8) 2) Stack overflow error on every page 3) Runtime error ("line 112 expected identifier, string, or number"....after debug found that it is a js error) 4) Logo is not rendered in IE8 For the record, I never use IE myself (other than for testing), but 50,000 of our unique visitors last year came from IE7. I don't like turning them away if I can avoid it. Please let me know if there are workarounds...i.e., is it possible to tame down certain functions from within the template administrator just so that we can accommodate older browsers? I am most interested in the Metro template, so please direct comments toward its configuration, if possible. |
