: Not sure where to start in making changes to template : fbcdennis October 31, 2012, 02:07:47 PM I am a brand new Joomla user. I have read the beginners manual but am still not sure how to make changes.
Using the touch of soul template, do I make changes to the template using joomla or photoshop? I am wanting to change the logo, all the text, images, etc. If I need to use photoshop, do I need to zip the template and upload when I want to make changes? If I need to use joomla, well I dont know where to start. I have used Dreamweaver to manage sites before but this is my first time to attempt to use joomla. : Re: Not sure where to start in making changes to template : mikenicoll October 31, 2012, 07:13:50 PM To change the site files you just need to edit the image files in the FTP/File Manager. All the other content you see on our sites is CSS / Joomla Articles.
Have you looked at any of our tutorials? For example to change the logo you would just create your logo in photoshop and save over-write the one that comes in the image folder on the file manager. To change fonts this is done via the template.CSS or the Template Manager in the back end of Joomla. This is explained in our vertex tutorial. Miken |
