Hello,

I need an answer to this as soon as possible.  We launched the website over the weekend, and the website is running very slowly, had been broken 4-5 times already.  Upon asking our server host Midphase, they said the website is making too many requests and its causing security system to see it as an attack.  Can this be an issue with vertex? or the template?

We haven't had any reports of the template causing a "security attack" on a server that would cause any type of crash. Are you running any type of 3rd party extensions that would be making a very large amount of requests to the server?

There isn't anything in the Template that would cause something like this. I have pretty much ran at capacity on other hosts and never had my site go down. I don't see how a Core Joomla Installation with some CSS files and simple extensions could cause a major host to see this as an "attack"

We're looking into moving to another host as soon as possible.  I didnt think it was the template either, because last time they said ti was the template's fault it was theirs instead.  This time I need to go to a host that actually supports joomla...because id ont think these guys do.  I'll let you know once the website is stable enough for you to look at for the other stuff.

Hey,

I would suggest Hostgator or Nochenhost. I personally use HostGator and they understand Joomla and have 24/7 live chat support if you need help. I used GoDaddy back in the day and HostGator page loads are way faster.

Hi Mike,

We ended up switching to SiteGround, and everything is uber fast compared to before.  So i guess everything was fine with the template design and vertex etc.
