I was hoping you could direct me to where I can get some good tutorials, guides or videos of how the widget area works with the construction template. Is there a widget control panel to help me with this area? If so I don't think I have it installed, and where do I get it? I want to make a basic change, replace CONSTRUCTION with a custom logo. I can see all the widgets listed in the widgets area and have been to the custom menu area but I don't see any clear information on how these two might interact. I would really appreciate if you could provide me with some more information so I can make some more modifications. Also, where can the favicon be changed? For improved widget management, I recommend the "Widget Context" plugin (search for it from the "Add" submenu under "Plugins" in WP-Admin. To swap the logo, you can either replace the logo image from the "{themedir}/images" folder, or you can place a text widget in the "logo" position and use an HTML image tag to put your replacement logo in the text widget. As your questions are fairly generic to all Vertex-based themes, I'll leave this thread in the "WordPress Talk" board, but if you have any questions specific to the theme, please remember to post in the board for the theme. |
