: cache messing up main menu : homelife March 20, 2013, 11:53:01 AM Hello,
I recently tried to turn on a couple cache options that my host offerred: static cache, and memcache. But i believe it caused my main menu to show only vertically and lose the dropdown of submenus (they end up appearing at bottom of page). I tried clearing cache from the website, the browsers, the static and memcache, but none of it helped hte menu go back to its original form. It's not until the host clears the cache from their side that it turns back to normal. Would you know how to resolve this as the host has said that their tools shouldn't conflict with css or website appearance? Also, the php error log in my public html is 5mb...perhaps you can tell me what goes on with the below error? [20-Mar-2013 11:44:57 America/Denver] PHP Warning: PHP Startup: Unable to load dynamic library '/usr/local/php53/lib/php/extensions/sqlite.so' - /usr/local/php53/lib/php/extensions/sqlite.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory in Unknown on line 0 my website is www.homelifepartners.com, i can give you access to my ftp if you need to look at it. thank you, homelife : Re: cache messing up main menu : mikenicoll March 21, 2013, 11:30:40 PM Hello,
Nothing in the template files would cause this. If you are using a host offered caching program then you would need to make sure it is configured properly. If it is compressing any of the scripts or files the wrong way then it might cause conflicts as well. I would suggest trying the cache options within Joomla to see if this helps. -Mike : Re: cache messing up main menu : homelife March 22, 2013, 10:07:38 AM Thanks Mike,
the host had to remove the current php.ini file in order to prevent conflict with their global php.ini, so all is good now. -V : Re: cache messing up main menu : mikenicoll March 22, 2013, 04:25:24 PM Alright,
Glad it is working for you now ! -Mike |
