I'm trying to implement the flex menu plugin into a site but I am coming across the following problem: I installed the plugin and enabled it but when I went to create or edit a menu item, the page would load incompletely and would not have any functionality. When I would hover over the tab in the browser, it displayed the following message: ERROR: 500 JHtmlBehavior::mootools not found. If I disable the plugin, the problem goes away. I am using Joomla 3.0 I searched the forums and could not find an answer... There is nothing in the flex menu plugin that calls mootools. If you are getting a 500 mootools error on your site that means you've upgraded from Joomla 2.5 and you are still running an outdated extension on your site. Could a module or plugin that was installed cause a problem, even though the site was never 2.5? Is there a way to track down which one?

When I disable yours, theirs works. It seems to be a conflict between the two. They say it is not their plugin, of course. How can I determine where to go from here?

Any 2.5 product that is left over that has a call for mootools will cause this error. It means you didn't reinstall with a 3.X compatible version of an extension somewhere on your site. I am not sure what you mean about another menu plugin conflicting, we cannot debug a third party extension for you. Our products are built using jquery from the core of Joomla, which every extension developer is required to do. |
