: Background Image

What size/type background image do you recommend for this template, not sure if a very large size image would affect the responsiveness/loading of the site. I would like to use a light colored texture/pattern as opposed to a photograph, and keep the black/patterned footer, how would I go about doing that?

Hello,

You would supply the image name under the Template Specific tab in the Vertex admin. Generally you want to keep the image about 100kb to 130kb or around that size. The image will automatically stretch as well.

Hello,

In the images folder, please read the tooltip for this image in the vertex, there are full instructions given there.

He might not actually have the tooltips - I see in my install that I only have "TPL_BACKGROUND_TOP_DESC".
(Same for all the tooltips in the Template Specific section - they are fine in all the other sections though.)
Presumably an issue related to one of the language .ini files somewhere ?

Yep - looks like this one is either incomplete or truncated :-

I'll grab the Site Shaper version of the download, and see if that has a more complete version than the one in the standalone download version I used.

Nope - looks like all the download packages (Joomla 1.6 - 2.5/Current, Template/Site Shaper) have the same file.

I'm sorry about that. Please use the attached language file and place it in the xml/language/en-GB/ folder of the template.
