: Layout Issues

Hi,

I'm stuck on a few things that I haven't been able to find the solutions to in the forum:

1. Issues with IE 6.  These do not happen in IE7 or Firefox.

Text gets pushed down if *any* modules are published in the right position.  I've tried athe following:
Tested un-publishing all modules in the left position - same result
Tested un-publishing all modules in the right position - fixed the problem
Tested adding any module in the right position.  Problem returns
Have tried all available "-styleX" settings for modules published in the right position with no improvement
Have tried reducing the % width in template_css.css as suggested by one forum member with no improvement
Changing the template width in configuration.  Currently set to 800 but it doesn't seem to make any difference.

2. User positions 1 2 and 3

Lots of weirdness depending on the what else is published in other positions (apparently).  One thing I have seen but has now disappeared is the content published in positions user1 and user2 vanishing with mouse-over any menu item on the horizontal menu bar.  Currently I have some images published in modules in positions user1 and user2.  They look great in Firefox and IE7 but in IE 6 they are not visible;   I suspect they are hidden behind the horizontal menu bar.

Issues with Firefox

1. Publishing the Show Cart module in User3 with -cart module style works OK, but when there is something in your cart the “x Product, $xxx.xx” wraps and the $ amount drops down to the next line and is semi-hidden behind the horizontal menu bar.  This looks like it might be the same issue as this thread http://www.shape5.com/component/option,com_smf/Itemid,75/topic,286.0 .  I also looked at this thread http://www.shape5.com/component/option,com_smf/Itemid,75/topic,277.0 and replaced mod_virtuemart_cart.php with the DIV version.  It made a difference – now you can't see the $ value at all!

2. There is a huge white space between the end of th content on any page and the footer.  That is, if the content on the page finishes at line 30, the footer appears about 40 lines below this!

I am developing this site on a local server but if neccesary I can install it on the net.  I'd really like to get these issues sorted out.  I spent quite alot if time looking around at templates before I came across yours and despite the current issues I still believe its the best around.

Thanks
John

John,

Would it be possible to publish it to a server...I am having a hard time visualizing these issues. Thank you.

As to your question about the cart not showing the value when items are added. I believe Virtuemart just changed some of their files for some reason. When you get the template up on a server can you private message me ftp access?

Thank you,

You are a champion, thank you!  This is all looking great now with Firefox, IE6 and IE7.  Thanks again.
