Even though I have Content Area Visiblity selected to hidden on my page it still seems to be showing up.
I am not clear where this area is being pulled from can you please let me know as I need to eliminate it on a few pages.

Do you have the frontpage content disabled in the theme admin?  If it's the home page, it is not controlled by the individual page/post settings, it is controlled by the settings in the theme options.

Tristan,

I had the same question.  If I set the "Content Area Shown on Front Page" option to NO in the Shape 5 Theme options, it does work correctly, i.e. the content area is not shown on the Front Page.  However on different website pages where I may not want the content area displayed, setting the "Content Page Visibility" to "Hidden" on the Page edit screen does not seem to have any effect.  The page content is still visible.   Are we misinterpreting that Page option?

Thanks for the input, I'll double check the code to make sure it's being called correctly; if not, I'll add that to the list of adjustments I'll be making in the framework patch I'm working on.

Hi Tristan
I did change the setting in the theme admin and it did fix the problem for the front page but I still have the same problem on another page.

Content Area Visiblity is set to hidden but the content area still show up.

It looks like that will be one of the fixes I will be making high-priority for the patch I'm currently working on.  I will try to have the first version of the patch ready by the end of the week, but I can't make any promises.  There are some big differences between the responsive and non-responsive versions of the framework, and because the patch will be updating all Vertex releases to the latest framework version, I need to make sure that the patch doesn't break the older releases.

Is there a specific reason why you can't use the page content to display whatever you want in the center of your page?  If it's just something that would be in a text widget, you can put that as the page/post content instead.

Tristan
This content is the blog which is pulled in from the posts. I am already using a custom post display in the above body 1 position using widget context show on selected *blog/.

If there is better way to do handle displaying the posts and not repeating the title at the top of the page, I am willing to try it.
Please let me know what needs to be changed.

Thanks
Denise

I'm working on a patch that I will hopefully have done by the end of the week that should fix that issue...  it looks like it's just not loading the setting correctly somewhere.

Can you provide a link?  I may also need you to turn on WP-DEBUG in your wp-config.  If there's an actual bug, I need to see what's causing it.

It's in localhost. Any suggestion to check something in localhost?

I can't even begin to guess the problem if I can't see it.  I suggest checking the theme options to make sure everything is saved correctly.
