: Parse error, and menus seem to have vanished in IE7 and don't work in firefox : rkrause December 11, 2008, 06:42:18 AM ok..so i changed the menu names, just like I do with every other joomla template...Everything is working fine. Then this morning i began getting a parsing error in IE7, my suckerfish menu no longer functions , except in firefox and above all, my submenu links don't go anywhere but to a 404 error page.
The only thing i did was change the name of the mainmenu headings, left everything else intact... i moved a few other things , like nav to the right, and the logo... Can someone tell me what in the world is going on ? I did notifce ;javascript in the mainmenu field, so perhaps i'm missing something simple, like changing the article alias; but i just don't know. The problem appears to be two-fold. Rename your htaccess.txt file to .htaccess for the SEO settings to work. And the other is your menu alias'. For some reason your alias's are showing up with -mainmenu-XX at the end, those shouldn't be there. : Re: Parse error, and menus seem to have vanished in IE7 and don't work in firefox : rkrause December 11, 2008, 08:05:04 AM Geez Mike... What don't you know! I changed the .httaccess file but that didn't seem to work.. i got a 500 internal server error...so then i just turned SEO off for now.. i'll check it out again in a bit...
Thanks for the help, the support is really unbelievable here.... -Ryan |
