: Need some SQL Help! (Please!)
: gmedia October 16, 2013, 10:44:37 AM
Here is my site: www.brewcrewrestoration.com

I recently fired fatcow.com as my host, and am trying to move this site to the new VPS.

I was able to import the SQL tables, but all I get is a white screen.

The only thing I can think of is a different MySQL version.

I had to import using ANSI compatibility mode. Otherwise I'd get an error saying "#1044 - Access denied for user 'brewcrew'@'localhost' to database 'brewcrewrestoration'"

Here are the version numbers:

Fatcow.com MySQL: 5.0.91-log
VPS MySQL: 5.1.70-cll

I can give cpanel and FTP access if someone wants to help. I need to get this client's site back online.

Thanks a bunch!

Chris

Hello,

Just to verify you copied over all the site files to the new host, imported the database and modified in configuration.php file on your server to redirect to your new host? If you have done all this I will see if one of our database experts has any idea what the issue would be.

I'm thankful that someone even looked at my post. Thanks!

Yes. Everything you said is correct. All the files are moved. I created a new database and imported the old one. I edited the configuration file to connect to the new database. The site just doesn't show up.

I am using the Shenandoah template with the latest LTR of Joomla.

I am using the latest stable release of PHP on our server as well. I have migrated/imported other sites, but this one is giving me trouble. If I were guessing, it is likely an easy fix, just over my head. All of the pieces are there. I looked through some of the SQL data. It seems ok.

THANK you for even trying to help! No pressure either way, but I'm going to PM you some credentials.

Chris

Alright,

You can PM me the Super User and FTP Credentials. Before any of that though please make a full backup of all your site files/databases.

I replied to your PM's. I don't know if you get the notification for them, but I do not. I didn't notice your messages.

Sorry :(
