Hi,

Can you please point me to any instructions of the widgets. In particular, I am a bit bamboozled by the vast number of them and I can't work out which is which. Is there a plan?

For example, I am keen to have the Latest News widget at mattmartel.com.au/adri show the latest blog posts. I don't know if this is possible, but even finding the right widget is hard.

I have looked for a manual, but have been unable to find one.

Much appreciated.

To see the locations of all the available widget positions for your site, just add "?tp=2" to the end of your URL:
http://mattmartel.com.au/adri/?tp=2

You can also find the position information for any theme under the "features" menu item on the demo for that theme:

Thanks, Tristan.

Any advice on how to find modules that do not conflict with Shape 5?

For example I found a module to show latest blog posts better, but the heading does not show.

I used Advanced Recent Posts from here... http://wordpress.org/plugins/advanced-recent-posts-widget/

Most plugins should be compatible with any theme from Paradigm Shift forward, I'm working on finding a solution to a problem caused by third party plugins calling a second copy of jQuery, but that shouldn't matter for the plugin you're referring to, because it doesn't have any animations.

If you really want to show the latest posts on the homepage, why don't you just turn the content area back on for the home page (Theme options -> Content area)?  You can limit how many are shown by changing the standard WP reading options (Settings -> Reading).

I did originally have the content area turned on for latest news, but there does not seem to be any way to move it into a different position than wide and near the bottom. That's why I tried another widget, but its heading is not showing.

Have a look at http://mattmartel.com.au/adri/ (http://mattmartel.com.au/adri/) and you will see content area turned back on.

So, would it be possible to assign this to another widget area? For example, putting it into Top Row 3.1?

I cannot see where it currently sits (or the content area at all) when I look at http://mattmartel.com.au/adri/?tp=2 (http://mattmartel.com.au/adri/?tp=2)

Really appreciate your time.

Thanks,

Matt

If you move TabShow into the "Left" position, and your "Donate" widget into the "Right" position, they will be on the sides of the content area and it the width will be readjusted.

The content area is not a widget position, but there are 2 columns on each side (SideName and SideName Inset), and those columns can have custom widths defined in the theme options area.

Cool. Thank you very much. That will work nicely.
