: site crashes when using slide show advance in ie (when logging in)
: Chris Deguara December 19, 2008, 10:37:47 AM
My website is crashing in Internet Explorer when I log in. In most probability, the problem is from slide show advance because when I disabled it, the site did not crash. When I use it, as soon as the website starts loading the slide show advance, the following error message is displayed:

Internet Explorer cannot open the Internet site:
http://mqba.chrisdeguara.com.

Operation aborted.

Please help me on this matter. I posted about 2 weeks ago and the post is no longer here... I don't understand why.

Thanks for any help.

I too have the same problem, but I see you seem to have fixed yours.

What was the fix?

How do you know if I fixed it? :)

no i didn't fix it. But since the problem occurs only with the users that have access to the backend, I told the administrator of the website to use firefox instead of ie. The other users that will create an account won't have access to the backend and hence the site will not crash for them...

I have same problem. Works fine in IE8, Firefox and Chrome but in IE7 it crashes on loadup. If I disable the slideshow mod it loads with no problem. Have tried the update I have seen in other threads to no aval.

Try taking the below in your index.php file:

:
<script type="text/javascript" src="/templates/aluma_photography/js/s5_textmenu.js"></script
>

And pasting it at the bottom of your index.php file right before the closing body tag.

Hello,

Your site should be working in IE7 now.  Sorry for delay I over looked this post.  It appears you did copy the textmenu.js file but you also needed to remove it from where you copied it from as this was causing the problem.
