: can't embed youtube in Corporate Response : robpfau November 26, 2013, 03:54:37 AM I am using the Corporate Reponse them on a Worpress site. All working 100%, but cannot embed Youtube videos using the process reommended here http://en.support.wordpress.com/videos/youtube/
The vidoe does not display, just the link text. Changed to a standard Wordpress theme, and it works 100% Also tried various Youtube plugins for Wordpress with the same result. I want to use the corporate response theme, so please advise if I am doing something incorrect. "It doesn't work" doesn't really tell me what the problem is. Are you getting errors? Is the video not loading? I need details before I can even guess at an answer.

In a Text Widget If I paste the youtube URL as per instructions on http://en.support.wordpress.com/videos/youtube/ there is just a blank space where I would expect the video to display. This URL includes the Youtube examples in a post, and in text Widget in Wiget positions. That setting disables the auto-formatting in WP so that the demo content appears exactly as I want, rather than being changed before loading.

The youtube shortcode and link detection are most likely part of the additional code that wordpress.com offers their users.
Wordpress.com is not Wordpress.org, their support does not apply to standalone wordpress installs. |
