When I install the Hexicon Gamer template and make it the site default, everything shows up and works fine. Once I go in the templates configuration in the back-end and click save, the main navigation menu under the logo at the top of the page disappears. I don't even have to make any changes to the templates configuration and hit save, and this happens. Clean template installation, no changes made. Hit save and menu disappears. Not sure how to fix this.

Can you try removing the current Template and installing the most recent version. There was a bug with the initial release that was causing the menu to disappear when saving. We released a fix for this a while ago.

I do have the current version. I went to the Hexicon Gamer downloads page and clicked on the "Hexicon Gamer - Template - Current" link which downloads http://www.shape5.com/component/option,com_docman/Itemid,96/task,doc_download/gid,693/

I am using Joomla 3.2. When I uninstall and reinstall the template, it works fine until I go into the template configuration and hit save.

I was doing testing and I have narrowed the issue to being the vertex.json file. I saved that file after I made all the changes I wanted in the template config (which caused the menu to disappear). Then I reinstalled the template and saved that vertex.json file. I moved over some of the changes I made to the messed up one to the new clean one, such as background and site width. So far so good. I'm not sure what it is in that file that is causing the issues, but at least now I know how to make changes there without having to use the back-end template config.
