: Effectiveness of Page Speed Plugins WP Super Cache W3-Total Cache : seahawks February 08, 2014, 12:45:09 AM Our Sports Nation WP installation is running slowly. I have optimised images, ensured images are loaded into the media gallery at their correct size (not resized with CSS etc) and included height and width attributes. The site is still slow to respond.
I have been looking at the WP Super Cache and W3-Total Cache plugins which might minify CSS & Javascript, shrink pages, cut out blank spaces etc. Are these plugins compatible with the S5 themes? Does anyone have experience with either of the two mentioned or any other for that matter? Any insights to this issue would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks : Re: Effectiveness of Page Speed Plugins WP Super Cache W3-Total Cache : Tristan Rineer February 10, 2014, 01:37:21 PM I am not aware of any compatibility issues with those plugins; I would suggest a full backup of your hosting space and database before installing either of them though, as they make changes that can be difficult to reverse and rolling back your site to a previous version is likely to be the easiest solution if the plugin you try causes problems.
