: JetPack and LazyLoad not working together : biru32 March 04, 2014, 08:17:13 AM Hi, I noticed that when I activate JetPack within my wp site, the preview thumbs on the posts no longer show. So, I tried disabling lazy load and they are appearing again. Not sure if you were aware of this issue.
Jason : Re: JetPack and LazyLoad not working together : Tristan Rineer March 04, 2014, 01:12:43 PM I believe Jetpack has it's own LazyLoad feature.
Thanks for letting me know! As the Shape 5 Terms of Use (http://www.shape5.com/terms_of_use.html) state, there's no guarantee of third party compatibility, but I'll add Jetpack to the list of things to check eventually. : Re: JetPack and LazyLoad not working together : biru32 March 04, 2014, 01:21:44 PM Yea, I understand you guys can't build your framework around every plugin out there. Isn't JetPack developed by WordPress? It's a little grey area, but since it's developed by WordPress, shouldn't you guys consider supporting it?
Thanks! Jason : Re: JetPack and LazyLoad not working together : Tristan Rineer March 04, 2014, 01:27:16 PM It's on the list of things to look at eventually. I have a lot of things I have to do for the club before I can start looking at third party stuff.
It's developed by Wordpress.com, not Wordpress.org. Wordpress.com is the for-profit company that uses the stuff from WordPress.org, but they are separate companies. : Re: JetPack and LazyLoad not working together : biru32 March 04, 2014, 01:30:13 PM Aha! I missed the .com vs the .org. Big difference.
Thanks for clarifying. Jason : Re: JetPack and LazyLoad not working together : Tristan Rineer March 04, 2014, 01:35:08 PM Very big difference. WordPress.com stuff is at the bottom of the list, because while you can install their stuff on standalone sites, you can't install Shape 5 stuff on WordPress.com sites because they don't allow third-party extensions and themes.
I'll still try to get to it when I can, but there are other things higher on the list. |
