Shape 5

I just purchased the Club WordPress theme Hexicon Gamer that uses the S5 Vertex Framework.  I've downloaded the theme into WordPress and I can get it to come up.  I have also downloaded the Hexicon Gamer Site Shaper file, extracted the files, and uploaded them to the root directory on my server, but when I go into my WordPress Admin Dashboard to customize the look and layout of my new Hexicon Gamer theme... I can't.  I can select from the WordPress Admin menu "S5 Shape 5 Theme", but when I'm taken to the Shape 5 Theme Options page (where you can customize the theme layout and other options) I'm not able to select a single option.  Has anyone experienced a similar problem?  What can I do to fix the problem so I can customize my Hexicon Gamer theme layout & other options?  Any assistance would be greatly appreciated because as of right now, my Hexicon Gamer-themed website only consists of a Header, a main_nav menu, a single widget area for main content, and a footer area, and I can't add or configure anything else.  I am working under the 3.8.1 version of the WordPress blogging software from WordPress.org.

Thanks so much for you reply to my post.  I downloaded the patch file recommended and after several attempts to upload it to my server, I finally got the files uploaded to the correct directory and I now have a template editor!  :D  I really appreciate your assistance.  Now I just have to go back and read up on the documentation on the vertex framework so I can design the final layout of my site and start uploading content.  Again, thank you very much for your help.

Most of the settings in the theme options should have descriptions near them that will explain how to use them.
