: Adding module to the main menu area : PoulErik March 16, 2014, 10:29:29 PM Hi!
I fell in love with this template when it came time for us to update our website, and so far we are loving it. I have run into a small problem though, that I hope you can help me out with. Be aware that I have no advanced experience with Joomla, CSS and that sort of stuff. I get by with your tutorials and your brilliant template setup. Our site is multilingual - English and Danish. The main language is Danish, with an available English translation. For that reason we need a language switcher available on every page. But, because we are using the image fader and the tabs the way the demo shows for Oasis, I cannot find a good place to put in on the home page. On every other page it would look fine in the "right" position, but on the home page that displays below all the graphics. That is, our visitors will have to scroll down and look for it, but we prefer it to be very obvious that more than one language is available. What would be ideal is to display the language switcher where the login and register links are on the demo. We have no need to have users on our site, so I have deactivated those by removing the text in the template manager. But, publishing the language switcher module to either "login" or "register" positions does not help. What do I do to get the language switcher module to display to the right of my main menu? I really appreciate your time. Thanks, Poul Erik : Re: Adding module to the main menu area : mikek March 17, 2014, 07:17:59 AM Hello,
Adding a new position would require custom programming, we do not provide those kinds of services. It would require you editing the index.php file and inserting a new position in that area. We have a tutorial available here for adding positions: http://www.shape5.com/joomla_tutorials.html |
