: Doesn't work with Opera?
: cjdietz January 06, 2009, 08:57:57 PM
Playing with Digital Systems before investing in a paid template...  had it looking pretty good, checked it thru my normal firefox, double-checked it thru IE, then sent it on to one of the users...  he's running opera and reported some problems.  Sent me a screen shot (see http://67.15.245.5/~jigsawcr/images/jsc_err.jpg).

I tried a few things and then when they didn't work, sent him to look at the demo on the S5 site.  The s5 demo does the same thing!  the top menu bar is messed up under opera (or at least under his monitor?)

here's a screenshot he gave me of the demo site: http://67.15.245.5/~jigsawcr/images/digsyserror.jpg

any clues?

Hello, we haven't had any reported issues with Opera. But keep in mind that Opera has under gone several revisions and is still not up to W3C standards and issues with many sites often occur with this browser.

hmmm... well, it's definitely Opera and anyone running the latest build should be having the same problems.  I just downloaded and installed the latest and had the same image errors -- this is even just looking at the demo on the S5 site.  :(

after messing around and researching for hours... i finally found the cure.  opera has a new alpha release for Opera 10.  After downloading it, the site displays perfectly! :)  IE still has a pixel or so between the banner and the menu/bar underneath, though...  but FF and Opera are perfect. :)

update:  nevermind the IE comment...  I installed some MS updates and now it's displaying perfectly in IE, too. :)
