: 2 questions about image size and number of images in S5 Image Scroll v2
: quesacco July 03, 2014, 04:13:19 PM
Hello there,

I have two questions:
- on the homepage, the images on the top and the ones in the smaller boxes are quite large, is it the standard size to be used or can I use smaller images?  I am trying to improve loading time by using the smallest possible size whilst still working across the various screen sizes.

- S5 Image Scroll v2 has a limit of 20 images. Is it possible to show more? If so, how can I do it? I am ok if it requires various steps to do so.

Thanks

Fred

Hello,

1) You should be able to have images the entire size of the page and this wouldn't effect loading times too much. What does affect loading times is the images physical size, meaning if you save a .jpg thats 4MB in size that would take a while to load. A JPG that is optimized shouldn't cause any site slow downs. Most of the images used in the demo are 100kb or less.

If you want to resize the images at the top (I assume you mean near the Image and Content Fader you can upload a smaller size image to the Module and the 2 side images should scale based on the height of the larger image in the row.

2) That wouldn't be possible without custom programming as the limits are hard coded into the Module itself. It actually used to support 10 images and we increased it to 20 but having more than 20 images would affect load times.
