Hello and good morning,
I would like to disable the main body content/component area for the home page. I have found a few posts about this, though most seem to be older and do not apply. I may be missing something in the template settings as well.

I use a model for most everything on the front page itself, and would like to disable the empty white box that is there. Could you give me a hand on what i am missing without breaking my site again? (I broke it, not you, I tried a few different ways but it did not turn out too well.)

Hello,

You can disable this under the Template Manager > General Tab > Hide Component on Pages

Just make sure any menu items you want the Component to be hidden are "checked"

Okay, now you are just being nice!
I was actually trying to work on something just like this slide out for our sites. Though I have is almost done, it is not as nice or clean as that is. A bit more work i need to get it working correctly and looking nice. So, I will definitely be dropping the current one i was working on for this. Plus, it saves me a lot of time! Thank you so much! Now I just have to work out on getting this in instead. I am sure that will be a lot easier.

Hello,

Should be super simple. You just need to update Vertex to the latest version with the patch files and then you will have the option for the Drop Down or Slideout menu under the Layout Tab after updating. Right now you are using Vertex 3.5.
