: "This Category Has no Items Added"

I know this is more of a Joomanager question but I wasn't able to find anything in that sites support forums about this and the problem is replicated on the Shape5 site so I figured, well I guess I'll just ask you guys.

Pretty common to have a category where it only contains other categories right?

Well turns out since these top level categories can have items in them alongside other categories, if all they contain are other categories, a message appears at the bottom that says "This Category Has no Items Added" even though a sub category actually does have items added.

You can replicate this with the following steps.

Go to the template
Click on "For Sale" for instance but any category does it.

8 subcategories are listed. These subcategories have 3 items across all 8 of them, yet "For Sale" category lists 0.
On the page where all of the subcategories are, at the bottom it says "This Category Has no Items Added" which seems like the last thing I would want to say after listing all of the brands/sub groups/whatever I have to offer!

Hello,

I am honestly not sure about that one. That seems more like an issue with Joomla though unless you are referring to categories from within Joomanager settings. In that instance I would maybe suggest creating a thread on Joomanagers support forums to see if they have any other ideas. Generally when doing content I always follow this sequence.

Article > Category > Menu Item

This allows unique alias to be generated for each Category which doesn't occur by default if you do not assign the categories to a menu item.

Yeah thats right. Joomanager categories. Not Joomla categories. Sorry for the confusion.

Ok,

In that case I would seek some assistance from Joomanager themselves. We are only familiar with the stylizing of Joomanager but all the features and configuration options you would need to check with them for as they would know best.
