: Site shaper web installer not working : grgrsmth October 20, 2014, 10:14:35 AM I've uploaded all the files from the Design Control site shaper and filled in all the information correctly on the web installer to my new site.
Yet, when I click install, it removes any former database files, creates the database tables, but goes back to the overview of the web installer rather than installing the sample data. There are new database tables there when I look at the mySQL database, so I don't think it's a problem with that; rather, I think it's a problem with the installation of the sample data. Is there any way I can fix this? Or any way I can refuse to install the sample data, as that seems to be causing the problem? Please help urgently. I just tested a fresh site shaper and it's installing with no issues. We have no other reports of this either, so that points me to a configuration issue or a hosting issue. Are there any error messages presented during install? You mentioned previous databases, a site shaper will not remove database tables, it only adds. Have you tried adding this to a new database? It's best to have each site on its own separate database. |
