I have tried and tried this several times and been in touch with Siteground technical support.

The problem is that the full Hexicon package simply will not install on my brand new account.

I get as far as the Main configuration page of the Joomla installation wizard (hexicon/installation/index.php#) and the page hangs there.  It will not advance to Database.

I can install Joomla from outside the hexicon package but I want the sample data installed.  I have installed a new database exactly as per the video tutorial. 

Can anyone help?

I assume that Hexicon IS compatible with the latest version of Joomla 3.3.6?

One further thing

There is definitely a problem with the package file.

I have just managed to successfully install another  template package (GCK_Store) on the same site with no changes.  When I try the Hexicon package it fails as described.

May I suggest that it is not compatible?

If so, may I have a refund, please?

Hello,

I just tested our latest Site Shaper package for Hexicon gamer 3.0 on my live server and it installed properly and without issues.

This means you are either installing incorrectly, your initial download was corrupted or your server has some sort of Upload Limitations that are blocking the install. Every Template and Databases are different sizes so it is possible your server uses a PHP MaxUpload size that only affects certain products.

I would start by creating a new database, reinstalling the Site Shaper and following the instructions in our video tutorial. If none of that works check with your host to review the error logs when installing. The Template itself has no impact on the install process and doesn't get applied until the last step of a standard Joomla Installation.

Let me explain what I have just done and how it has worked out.

I wiped the joomla installation on the root, so no installation there.

In the public_html folder I created 4 folders named hexicon, GCK_Store, gamers and no1shopping to reflect four templates from your downloads site.

I followed the tutorial instructions for all four installations.

The process worked for both GCK_Store and no1shopping but BOTH gamers and hexicon installations hung on the first page of joomla configuration.  That is to say I couldn't get to the Database configuration page.  I didn't get any error messages just the progress bar ad infinitum.

I raised a ticket for support with Siteground and they came back to me within the hour.  Apparently PHP 5.5 is NOT supported by both gaming installations, whereas it IS by both shopping ones.  They changed it to PHP 5.4 for both gaming folders and voila, everything worked.

May I suggest, Mike, that you upgrade those installations to run on the latest PHP, or at least warn people that they may have an issue?

I will let our development team to know to do some internal testing to determine if there is any issues or not as I have not been able to replicate any issues with installation.
