: H1 tags for Google & Bing missing : jimbondox December 21, 2014, 08:51:41 PM I have been trying to figure out what I can do about the H1 tags not showing up. I have been in webmaster tools for both Google/Bing and also asked Google Webmaster tech and they said there is no H1 tags for the article , which I confirmed as the article title shows as H2... so how do I fix, they state that I won't get the sitelinks I want because when it is indexed they look for an H1 tag.

As far as I know Joomla used H1 Tags for the Page Headings only and H2 Tags for Articles / H3 Tags for Modules. Changing that would require some form of override to the Joomla Core itself. : Re: H1 tags for Google & Bing missing : jimbondox January 04, 2015, 04:20:21 PM Thanks Mike, I figured it out, in the siteshaper it was setup in the config to hide the H1 and the article was showing as H2
