: Issue with Reservation Form
: AAJS2014 December 22, 2014, 01:26:13 PM
Hi,

The following is appearing under the Reservation form on the webpage - not sure if this is an error or whether it is meant to be there (in which case it doesnst make sense).

This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it."/>

Also, when I fill out the reservation form, Captcha form does not appear until you click on the Send button and then it appears. I then retyped the code, but the Red cross does not change into a Green tick. But if you click the Send button regardless, the whole screen freezes.

Can you please provide a resolution for this.

Thanks

Hello,

I believe this is caused by a plugin called "Content - Email Cloaking"  Try disabling this plugin and let me know if this fixes it.

Thanks,

Hi,
Once i disabled the suggested plugin module, the reservation form worked and I managed to send the information. However, since then the reservation module has again stopped working. It hangs at the same point as I reported first time.

However, the once instance I was able to send to information through successfully via the reservation form the following issues were noted:

1. The reservation module sent 3 emails instead of just the 1 to the receiving email account
2. The following issues were also noted:
Number of Guests: test
Check In: 12/26/2014
Check Out: 12:00

No idea how number of guests field is populated and in any case it should just be an integer not a text field
Check In: this appears to have been populated from the date picker - clearly it should not have been.
Check Out: this is the time the appointment was requested at not a check out time but actually this should be the check in time for the booking client.

Thanks

1. I would test again to be sure it wasn't just a one time thing, not sure why it would send 3 emails

2.  This text can be changed in the following file here:

modules\mod_s5_reservations\scripts\xmlHttpRequest.php

I did test it more than once... same result.

Which text are you referring to exactly?

And what about the other points i raised? or is your cryptic answer suppose to address all the points I have raised - personally I don't think it does! And please remember, I am not some coder that I can happily go away because you have stated some path to a file without telling me what to do in terms of how to edit, what to edit, how to save and how to overwrite the existing files/paths/scripts.

Hello,

I was not trying to be cryptic. I only noticed 2 questions?  Your second question was all answered in one response as all three text areas can be edited in that one file.  You just open that file up with any text file reader and scroll through or search and find the text you referenced above "Check In, Check out, etc"

As for the email not sending if you can PM me FTP and Joomla login details I can take a look at this for you first hand.  Not sure whats going on currently without taking a look to see why its sending 3 emails.

Thanks,

Hi,

I'll PM you the Joomla details. As for FTP, I've never used it, I just use the File Manager from within my cPanel that I've got with my host company (SiteGround). Can you please confirm if you need access to cPanel too.

Thanks

Ok then cpanel would work.  Thanks

I'm providing the screen grabs here as I couldn't figure out how to include them in PM.

Can someone from Shape5 please reply to my post here!! This is part of an ongoing discussion with Jonahh, but it seems to be taking forever to resolve.

Hello,

I missed you last PM regarding the register module.  So the register module captcha is conflicting with this module.  I will look into this and get back to you, we'll need to provide a fix for this so it might be a few days to get this coded and all working.

Is there anything happening on this or not? I have not heard anything back from you since your last post.

Hello,

Sorry about this, I haven't heard from our developer since this day.  I let him know the issue but I am still waiting.  I just pinged him again and hope to have an answer soon.  If you don't hear back from me with a day or 2 please bump this thread up again and I'll stay on top of this to make sure you get a fix.

Thanks,

Hi,
Yet again more than 2 days have passed by without any resolution. Can you please chase this up with your developer.

Thanks

Hi,
I'm not sure how I can edit the xmlHttpRequest.php file? Can I use Notepad or do I have to use some other editor?

Yes you can use notepad.  I recommend notepad++ as its easier to read than notepad.  It highlights the code so it reads better to the eyes
