: flexmax90 January 24, 2015, 03:54:40 PM
Hello,

I use the jdownloads component and have the problem with lightbox, it does not work.
The image is not displayed as a popup. The producer said it does not come from the componenten, but from the template.

can someone help me?

Hello,

We do not provide debugging for 3rd party extensions. You can try disabling the S5 Box and S5 Multibox scripts to see if the issue arises due to a script conflict between both similar scripts.

Hello,

In the Template Manager under Javascripts you can disable anything you aren't using.

the problem still exists ???

Hello,

You would need to contact the developer of the script then. We don't provide support for 3rd party script integration such as this. I would check the active running scripts and disable anything you aren't using such as Multibox and S5 Box Extension.

I've now found out that the problem at the template and the jquery is. When I use the function "Enable JS Compression?" turn on, the menu does not work properly, but the lightbox works.

Hello,

Glad you found out the issue. Compression can cause issues with certain 3rd party scripts if they need to be called in a specific order to operate.

Hello,

Does the Menu work with JS Compression enabled and the Lightbox extension disabled?

no, but if I enable the Lightbox extension and the JS Compression, then it works, but then comes another problem on the menu. It looks like this (see pic)...

Hello,

I can test this for you but I will be testing it without any 3rd party extensions enabled. I can only guarantee to get compression working without any 3rd party extensions enabled as once you add other scripts to the compressed file it can cause issues. If you would like me to disable all your 3rd party extensions and then test compression with the default site files I can do that for you.

If you PM me back end Super User and FTP to my inbox I will take a look and get back to you. Also note that compression is only about a 3% difference in load times which is very minimal. The majority of speed will come from the quality of your web host.

me it is not important if it runs faster, but rather it runs without error, and with all extensions.
can you help me in this sense?

Hello,

As stated I cannot test other 3rd party extensions, only the Template with all 3rd party extensions removed and its compression. If the Template and Compression work on a default install before 3rd party products are added than that is all we can guarantee. Once you start adding 3rd party products and scripts into the compression set issues can occur. We don't provide debugging for 3rd party scripts only our core products.
