I like what I see in the Design template but need more flexibility when it comes to the main menu. Or am I missing something here with regard to the template?

Users will somehow want to "customize" a template a bit. Is there a chance that this may be made possible in the future though?

You can customize the menu to an extent and also move it around as needed. The reason we hard code the menu structure is because 90% of the time there is only one logical place for the menu that makes sense. An advanced user could definitely go into the index.php file and move the menu block to a different location but the designers spend a lot of time ensuring the menu location is correct for Template they are creating. You can also add custom.css overrides to alter the appearance/style as needed to any of our menu structures. |
