I have just upgraded to the new version of Wordpress and the images have disappeared from the box on the homepage.

Any assistance would be appreciated....

Thanks
Kirsty

From the Wordpress FAQ (http://www.shape5.com/component/option,com_smf/Itemid,75/topic,23923.0/):

If the Image and Content Fader has stopped working after a WordPress update, you probably updated the plugin at the same time.

All of the themes released before Corporate Response were created using the mootools javascript library.  From Corporate Response forward, all releases now use jQuery instead of mootools.

If you use a theme older than Corporate Response or don't want to patch a newer one that is pre-responsive, you will need to downgrade back to the previous (mootools) version (http://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/s5-image-and-content-fader.1.2.3.zip) of the plugin and remember not to upgrade again without the Vertex Upgrade Patch (http://www.shape5.com/component/option,com_docman/Itemid,96/task,cat_view/gid,308) installed.

How can I tell my vertex version?  I thought I updated it, but when I go to the 'About' tab, there is no number version there.

Do I assume I have the latest version?

If so, I have the latest version of vertex, I have updated the plugin, but still no image slide.  I change the settings to Legacy, the images scroll, but the words don't show. Leaving it on the current setting, I get words and images for the first image, but that is it.

What can I do?

Salon n Spa was released before Corporate Response; which, as stated above, means you are on the pre-responsive version of the framework and need to use the older version of the plugin (linked above) and make sure not to update the plugin.

The other option would be to install the Vertex Upgrade Patch (http://www.shape5.com/component/option,com_docman/Itemid,96/task,cat_view/gid,308), manually upgrade all Shape5 plugins, and then troubleshoot any issues or conflicts caused by all the code changes.
