: Google Pagespeed Issues : lesstechcs May 26, 2015, 08:52:49 AM can you give some advice on increasing Google Pagespeed scores for Mobile on my site http://www.wildlifeabatement.pro They were in the 80's prior to last updates from Wordpress and the vertex Updates. Please see below
Eliminate render-blocking JavaScript and CSS in above-the-fold content Your page has 10 blocking script resources and 17 blocking CSS resources. This causes a delay in rendering your page. None of the above-the-fold content on your page could be rendered without waiting for the following resources to load. Try to defer or asynchronously load blocking resources, or inline the critical portions of those resources directly in the HTML. Remove render-blocking JavaScript: http://www.wildlifeabatement.pro/?-includes/js/jquery/jquery.js?ver=1.11.2 http://www.wildlifeabatement.pro/?s/jquery/jquery-migrate.min.js?ver=1.2.1 http://www.wildlifeabatement.pro/?nse/js/jquery/jquery-ui.min.js?ver=4.2.2 http://www.wildlifeabatement.pro/?js/jquery/jquery-noconflict.js?ver=4.2.2 http://www.wildlifeabatement.pro/?nt/plugins/s5-box//js/s5_box_hide_div.js http://www.wildlifeabatement.pro/?nt/plugins/s5-box//js/jquery.colorbox.js http://www.wildlifeabatement.pro/?s5_corporate_response/js/s5_flex_menu.js http://www.wildlifeabatement.pro/?rate_response/js/s5_columns_equalizer.js http://www.wildlifeabatement.pro/?5_corporate_response/js/s5_info_slide.js http://www.wildlifeabatement.pro/?_response/js/s5_responsive_mobile_bar.js Optimize CSS Delivery of the following: http://www.wildlifeabatement.pro/?5_corporate_response/style.css?ver=4.2.2 http://www.wildlifeabatement.pro/?et-shortcodes/css/shortcodes.css?ver=3.0 http://www.wildlifeabatement.pro/?es/css/shortcodes_responsive.css?ver=3.0 http://www.wildlifeabatement.pro/?wp-content/plugins/s5-box//css/s5box.css http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Oswald http://www.wildlifeabatement.pro/?_corporate_response/css/s5_flex_menu.css http://www.wildlifeabatement.pro/?porate_response/css/template_default.css http://www.wildlifeabatement.pro/?s/s5_corporate_response/css/template.css http://www.wildlifeabatement.pro/?5_corporate_response/css/com_content.css http://www.wildlifeabatement.pro/?mes/s5_corporate_response/css/editor.css http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=ABeeZee http://www.wildlifeabatement.pro/?rate_response/css/s5_responsive_bars.css http://www.wildlifeabatement.pro/?ponse/css/s5_responsive_hide_classes.css http://www.wildlifeabatement.pro/?corporate_response/css/s5_responsive.css http://www.wildlifeabatement.pro/?mes/s5_corporate_response/css/custom.css http://www.wildlifeabatement.pro/?corporate_response/css/s5_info_slide.css http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Open%20Sans%20Condensed:700 : Re: Google Pagespeed Issues : Tristan Rineer May 27, 2015, 02:01:36 PM I don't really know much about how the scoring system works, so I forwarded your post. Here's the response I got:
His site has a ridiculously good page speed of 92, which I would point out to him: http://gtmetrix.com/reports/www.wildlifeabatement.pro/uNNLiYAi The only problem I see is the page load time of over 17 seconds, but that?s his server response time, not the theme. This is really on him if he wants to make further changes, we don?t guarantee a certain page score. He can optimize the css files if he wants, there are plenty of css optimizers out there, but he can?t combine them into a single css file; nor would you want to. We don?t optimize it by default because most people like to edit the css, and optimizing it makes it nearly impossible to read. Regarding javascript, there?s nothing that can be done there, the javascript has to be loaded in that order or the scripts won?t work; ie: the one script needs the prior one there in order to work. I never understand these javascript recommendations because there?s no way it would ever change the page speed; they want the scripts to basically take effect after domready instead of before, but it?s still downloading the js files at the same time. All render blocking means is they want it loaded later on the page, but that would break the scripts. |
