Hello,

We do not include any 3rd party extensions with our products as their layouts and functions are constantly changing. You can install any 3rd party product for your cart that you need on the Template. The styling for them is going to be the default styling which you would need to modify to your liking. Any styling for those extensions would have only been for the versions at time of release.

Regards,

Hi Mike, to elaborate is there any way to use this template as per the demo with virtumart (or another cart) and keep the layout integrity of the demo. Otherwise Im a little stumped as to how to use this template with a cart as the idea would be to add a item to the store and it appear where say, a mens shirt would appear.

I think the template represents a pretty good layout for a retail store, I just can't see how to maintain its look whilst using a cart without manually replacing images overtime a new product comes in (we have 1000's of products in the catalogue as well).

maybe Im thinking of this incorrectly and should hardwire the products with links to the images on the homepage?

If anyone is using for a cart maybe they can let us know how they are managing the process please

Many thanks, Ben

It wouldn't look exactly the same but I actually can help assist if you install and send a link to what it looks like. This template was styled for Virtuemart or another cart but was laid out with possibilities of what you could do.  I would not recommend hard linking the products because as you said this would be time consuming and really not efficient. Virtuemart does have modules that can output products like this.  You can see our demo of it on GCK store here:

http://www.shape5.com/demo/gck_store

So I could even help you copy the styling from this one over too.

Thanks Jonah, thats really helpful and I'll be glad of the help. I should probably populate VM with some products? I have been playing with the homepage here: soundgardenmusic.co.uk but its still just a couple of hours of experimenting at the moment. I haven't put any product into VM yet (although the demo products are probably there) so is it too early for you to help?

many thanks, Ben

Yes you will need to populate VM with products. I took a look at your site but I'm not sure where any products are? Either way it'll be better once you get a bit more populated in VM.  Once you get a nice chunk up let me know and we can go from there.
