: Ipad problems

So I bought an Ipad because I had some complains about the display. On my desktops, notebooks and phones (both Apple and Windows devices)

When you disable a section (right or bottom row1 for example) in portrait you don't see the disabled items, as it should be, turning the Ipad to landscape the items show up.

That means when you have items in that position they display weird, the right position is very small and long.
Using fixed backgrounds on bottom row 1-for example, then the image scales very big and weird, not to say ugly. That was also the reason to disable that position for tablets.

What to do to disable also the positions for landscape view for tablet (Ipad 3) ?

Also a tip what I recently found out on a Ipad, the floating menu bar.
don't use more then 4 of 5 main menu items (width) because when the navigation menu is to width, the menu items are below the floating background and not on it.
Use the rest of the articles/items as submenus in the flex menu.

Not much web-emulators are displaying correct, you must have a real device to test. What they display is not how it really is.

Hello,

Landscape and portrait are going to show differently, the layout is determined by the width of the screen, and it gets much wider when you turn the device. You can make many adjustments under the layout tab in Vertex for when you want items like the right column to combine, or when you want the row positions to combine into smaller groups.

A tablet width is defined at 750px, it's meant for smaller tablets like the iPad mini. The standard iPad is much larger screen and can usually handle items like the columns in the same position as desktop, in fact it's the same size as many smaller laptops. But like I said above there are options under the Layout page to adjust when certain items combine and your desired width. You can also use the hide classes:

Also, please post your questions in the support forum boards of the template you are using so we can address a specific template, not every template has the same layout and css. Please also provide a url if you need assistance in that new post.

It was in general. I will play with settings, it is on more templates. When I have trouble with a specific template I will post in the support in the right section.

Point was that you can't rely on online emulators.

Regards.

Hello,

You just need to use emulators that replicate more than the view port size. I find mobiletest.me has an advanced emulation as well as browserstack.
