Did you follow in install instructions from the Wordpress FAQ (http://www.shape5.com/component/option,com_smf/Itemid,75/topic,23923.0/)?  Specifically from the "Using a hosts auto-installer (Fantastico/Softaculous) (http://www.shape5.com/component/option,com_smf/Itemid,75/topic,26192)" item?

If you are having issues with it even after following those instructions, try dropping all tables in the database immediately before or after uploading the files from the shaper; this will force the WP installer to run, and should hopefully get your site up and running with the demo content.

Keep in mind that Appwonder was released before the Vertex framework was developed; unfortunately, pre-framework releases can no longer be updated due to significant changes in how WordPress works.  I would suggest looking at more recent releases to see if there's something newer that you can be happy updating to.  The first Vertex release was Paradigm Shift, and the first responsive release was Business Response.  I personally recommend not using anything older than Business Response, but that is mainly because the pre-responsive releases that use Vertex will need to be patched with the Vertex Upgrade Patch (http://www.shape5.com/component/option,com_docman/Itemid,96/task,cat_view/gid,308) before they are fully compatible with the latest version of WordPress.

If you're looking for something "app" related, I suggest looking at "Swapps"; it was just released a couple months ago and is much more capable than Appwonder in many ways.

Thanks Tristan
I guess I was looking to keep the clients look and feel as they were using appwonder on Joomla but I have lost a bit of faith in Joomlas user friendliness....
I'll take a look at the other theme..
Thanks
Ben

Are you saying you enabled the sample data injector more than once?  You only need to activate it once.  It will be automatically deactivated once it finishes injecting the sample data into the database.

I can't find any information online about the "feed not loading" error in relation to WP; my only guess would be that something in your server settings is either limiting the processing power or memory needed of the shaper injection to work correctly, or something else server-side is causing a problem.  One possible problem may be file permissions; if WP doesn't have permissions to edit its own files, it can't do important things like editing the .htaccess, which is needed for it to activate the permalink structure (which makes the URLs text-based instead of looking like ?page_id=123).

From looking at what your site looks like after the Shaper/Injector runs, I'm guessing that it isn't being allowed to finish running, as it looks like most of the content isn't being injected into the database.  This may be caused by a memory limit on PHP, but it could be something else.

Another thing that makes me almost 100% certain that the problem is something server-side is that I can visit the site and have it working fine for a few minutes, then it will randomly revert to that error on a refresh, and then after a few more minutes it will load fine again; this suggests that something is being limited on your server - memory, bandwidth, processor, something.
