: Problems after compressing javscripts and css : antic July 16, 2015, 11:03:56 AM When I enable JS Compression as well as CSS Compression within the theme manager options, my website loads very slowly. Can you please help me to use these options to make the website load faster? I have WP Fastest Cache installed and activated on my site, so maybe that is causing the problem. There have been some semi-recent changes that should make a significant speed improvement.

Can you help me to solve the problem? I attached an image to illustrate what happens when these 2 options are enabled!
: Re: Problems after compressing javscripts and css : Tristan Rineer July 17, 2015, 07:22:17 AM It seems your server may be incompatible with the methods used to create the compressed files. The speed difference between compressed and non-compressed isn't really that significant anyway, as the built in compression only compresses specific theme files. The caching plugin you're using most likely compresses everything.
All compression does is remove blank space from files, it doesn't actually "compress" them like putting them into a zip file would. |
