: Guidance please, moving a Shape5 installation from one directory to another
: abjoomla August 11, 2015, 12:53:02 PM
Hi i'm using Shape5 New vision Template

I have a joomla site where the template is stored under <docroot>/shape5new

I want to move it to the "docroot" folder (public_html in this case).
Normally for a joomla site it would be a case of moving the contents of shape5new up one level to public_html and editing configuration.php accordingly.

However with a shape5 setup it doesn't work as the site then shows all the demo/sample data of a vanilla installation.
I suspect that it is because shape5 creates a number of config.php and configuration.php files in subdirectories.

Can anyone please provide step by step guidance to moving an installation from one directory to another?

Thanks in advance
Alan

Hello,

We do not do anything different from a standard Template install. You just need to move the files from one directory to another and update the configuration.php to point to any new file locations properly.

Cheers Mike
We've now resolved that problem.
