You can either replace the images/s5_logo.png file in the theme folder, or you can place a widget in the logo position.  For the widget option, you can install a plugin that allows an image to be placed as a widget (It's up to you to find one you like), or you can place either a text widget or a clean markup widget and use an HTML image tag.

Can you give an example of the HTML image tag that would "fit" in the logo position?

Thank you,

Brad

A standard IMG tag will work.  I actually recommend replacing the file, rather than using the widget version, as using a widget adds some other unnecessary HTML tags, unless you use the Clean Markup widget, which I added to the framework specifically for the purpose of adding raw HTML in any widget position.

Thank you!  Will this add the logo in the Header or the left option below the Multibox?

Cheers,

Brad

The logo should by default show in the header.

I uploaded the new logo file using the same name as the other logo file and changed the Logo Position to Header in the Theme Options -> Template Specific but the picture is the Photobox picture?

Brad

The logo should by default show in the header.

Where did you upload it to?  The logo image is loaded from the images folder inside the theme folder.  If you didn't upload to that location, then you didn't overwrite the original logo.

That is where I loaded it, and the file size matches the file size of the logo I want to use.

When I try to go directly to the image url, it's still the one from the theme.  (Here (http://bcrstudiosbybrad.com/wp-content/themes/s5_photobox/images/s5_logo.png))

Do you have some form of caching installed on your server?

Very interesting.  I am having a problem with my Mobile Data connection and FTP is blocked at the library where I am currently so I will look into this a bit later.  I thought that was where I was copying the file to, but need to check once I resolve the data problem.

You're browsing the FTP through Windows?  I recommend using a dedicated FTP client like FileZilla (http://filezilla-project.org/).  Windows can cause file corruption with FTP transfers.

The file properties/permissions shouldn't be the issue.  If the logo isn't changing on your site, then the default logo wasn't replaced with your new logo.  If the logo you are looking at through FTP is definitely your new logo, then your host/server may have some kind of caching service active that prevents file changes from updating in real-time.

Here is the location of the Logo...and I am able to view it fine.

I updated the Narrow Screen Logo File to equal: http://bcrstudiosbybrad.com/wp-content/themes/s5_photobox/images/BCR.png and the Logo Position to header and the picture still does not load.

Any ideas?

Brad

The theme is looking for s5_logo.png.  Unless you've edited the code to tell it to use that different file name to access the image, it has no way of knowing that's what you want it to do.  All you have to do is remove the s5_logo.png file that came with the theme, and rename your logo file to that file name.

Thank you for your reply.  I did replace the file and it was not working.  I tried it again with another file and it worked...not sure why it was being suck a pain.

WE LOVE the Theme and our website is looking real good.  I will be trying to add some other features and extensions now that I have a good base.

Your customer service is 5 star!  I will look to use this theme for some other websites as well.

Best regards,

Brad
