: Unable to display social icons in the front end
: festussgp August 13, 2015, 05:06:37 PM
Hello,

I have configured a facebook page for my project and and copied over the url to the cleanout template > Theme Specific section: javascript:;https://www.facebook.com/livevinehome

I also tried just : https://www.facebook.com/livevinehome

But neither format can display the fb icon in the FE.

I tried to view how these icons display in the demo provided at shape5.com, but cannot see even on the official demo!
I cannot find anywhere in the forum similar problem being posted.

I have installed Joomla 3.1.1
and Clenout ver 1.0

Please advise solution.

Thanks for your assistance.

I was viewing the site at the screen resolution:  1024 x 768
I was not able to see the social media icon at this resolution.

After reading your response, I changed the screen resolution to: 1366 x 768
and able to see the icons now.

I tried to view the site in my mobile phone and observed the following:
a) social media icons are not visible
b) On top left side, the logo is displayed as 'Cleanout' instead of the custom logo which is
    visible only on a laptop.

Looks like I need to do some customisation for the mobile screen.

Appreciate your support.

Best Regards,

Hello,

The social icons are designed to be hidden on smaller screens to preserve space and prevent overlapping. You can remove any display:none calls for the "social" buttons in the s5_responsive.css file or adjust the @media screen trigger values to be different and hide them where you need.
