: Touch Device Image in Fitness Center Template
: rudolfsen September 15, 2015, 12:00:17 PM
Is it possible to create a Touch Device Image for Ipad, Iphone or whatever tablet for use in Joomla 3.4.4 using the template Fitness Center? Some other templates have a specific upload for this in the template admin area . More specific I mean the picture that will be showed on ex. the I-phone dashboard. How big?  Where to put it?  Any coding needed?
Hope for a answer.
Olaf

Hello,

I don't know what you are referring to. The images that show on your phone itself for a shortcut are not controlled by a template, that's controlled by the device.

I am maybe not to professional, but here is something I am trying my best to find out. I will explain my issue and hope my best that someone will guide me or give me advice. So here is the issue about my Fitness Center Template using joomla 3.4.4.
EXAMPLE:
I am using Iphone 5 and Ipad, going into my website (rudolfsen.com), adding the website to my Iphone`s home screen. With many joomla templates you simply go into administrator/template and add  different types of favicon.ico (16px - 16px) - favicon for mobilephone (57px - 57px)  favicon for tablet (72px - 72 px) (114px - 114 px) (144px - 144 px).  All accept favicon.ico is .png format. Then it normally pop up this perfect symbol (company logo or whatever on my iphone screen.

With this template the popup/symbol/picture/favicon that show up on my Iphone/Ipad screen is just a mix/mess of the website. Like a screenshot.

Can anybody guide advice how I can add / change this in my website?

Its not important for me if this is a template or joomla issue. I just need this "symbol" to show up nice on my Iphone/Ipad. Maybe I need toy do some change inside one or more files. So its okay for me.  Any good advice?

If you have problem to understand my question, simply just add a Fitness Center Template Website into a Iphone home screen and you will understand.

Thanks for any advice

Hello,

I've never come across a template that allows you to upload multiple sized favicons before. All the ones I have ever seen are for the standard 16px x 16px which shows on the browser tabs.

It looks like it's something you can add, but we don't provide support on this as it's not part of our core product.

This site here lists several options for Apple products:

You would just enter these in the template's index.php file right the call for:

require_once("vertex/includes/vertex_includes_header.php");
