There is a pluging called nav menu role, but it does not work with Flex Menu.

How Can I do that functionality with Flex Menu?

Hello,

You cannot hide an entire menu system based on the user's permissions, you can do that with individual menu links though through the default functions of the Menu Manager. The flex menu is designed to work with the default menu system of Joomla, not plugins that modify or add functionality to that.

Hi,

I am working with Wordpress. I do not want to hide a full menu. Only some links that should be visible if the user do the login

If the plugin you are trying to use doesn't already work with Flex, then it is unlikely that doing what you want is possible without some custom coding.  Depending on the theme you are using, it may be possible to just have a custom menu widget placed in a submenu or Top Menu position and set to only appear when a user is logged in, but that's about the best I can suggest.

If you create an additional menu in the menu editor with only the items that you want logged in users to see, then use that menu in a "Custom Menu" widget placed in the "Top Menu" position, it will show on the bar just below the logo (as shown on the demo).  I'm not sure about being able to only show the widget to logged-in users, but that should at least get you closer to what you want to do.

Feel free to post any additional questions as new thread(s) on the Velocity board; it's easier to provide support for a specific theme when I can reference the board name as a reminder of which one you're using.

Well .. I think this is not a matter of the theme that we have chosen.

Others themes vendor rockettheme or gavick has this functionality implemented because it is a professional need.

What you are selling is that we have to implement by ourselves including js or php scripts to do what we want...

Sorry but show or hide menus for having a private zone for logging users should be something that shape5 should take in account when they offer PRO themes or pluggins.

That?s why we are paying >:( >:( >:( >:(

Hello,

Please post your questions here as requested:

http://www.shape5.com/component/option,com_smf/Itemid,75/board,241.0/

This forum is for V4 Framework specific questions not those related to the Wordpress CMS or Widgets.

Thanks,

What? This is not a problem based on a theme. It is a problem based on Vertex. There is not any specific forum for Flex Menu.

And waht I am requesting is a functionality that is going to happen to all sites that uses Flex Menu..

Anyway I have posted in that forum. Maybe those moderators can solve it..

Thanks!!

The v4 version of Vertex has not been released for WP yet, until that time, this board is only relevant to the Joomla version of the framework.

What you are requesting has never been asked for in the past, and as something that is an extreme "rare-use" case, would be considered "custom coding" which is not technically covered by support.  I have tried to provide you with an alternative that is reasonable for the theme you have chosen, if you do not feel that to be sufficient, you are welcome to post to our Hire-a-Coder (http://www.shape5.com/hire_a_coder/) area and see if another member will help you achieve what you are looking for.

I have added your suggestion to my list of "possible features" to be added to future versions of the framework, but the current version of the framework is on a feature freeze (bugfix changes only) and new features will not be added until v4 is complete and released.
