: Add a white area for the content when using a background image ?
: chriddo October 11, 2015, 01:54:30 PM
When adding a background image using the template settings (center area), the whole background image is too present. I would like to get a white (transparent) area for the content (where the aricle text is displayed) otherwhise I can not read the text so well. Is this possible to achieve?

This problem might be hard to understand. The site is at present pwd protected so please let me know if you need access to it so that you can see how it looks like, via a PM.

Hello,

If you are using the background option there is no way to really just make the inner area white. It just uses the entire image as a background for the entire row. My suggest might be to add a lighter or darker area to the actual image itself where the font would generally be.

But usually the area where the content text is have a right and left "end". Everything which is wider then that will show the background image. Please elaborate.

I have attached an image for better understanding.

Hello,

That isn't something the row backgrounds can do unfortunately. It will always just apply the entire image to the container behind the text. You would need to create an additional class wrapping the row and stylize it with an inner background. That type of customization isn't something we provide support for via the forums.
