Hi,

We are using a theme named Prestige Academy for our school site, currently undergone a malware [SEO Spam] attack. Also after latest WP and plugin updates there are issues in photo/image lightbox pop-up and navigation...

While inspect element from browser, there is an error popping out in javascript...which is below;

Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'childNodes' of undefined

Error is popping from this js:

Is there any way I can remove this conflict, so that other plugins will work properly..

[Popup after clicking over images, and image navigation opens in new page...not Ajax. Plugin supports ajax navigation property and it works fine before. But after recent theme update this issue came up.]

[Lightbox popup does not work properly, it open in new page, instead of a lightbox window. Plugin supports lightbox popup property and it works fine before. But after recent theme update this issue came up.]

Please check it and let me know some suggestion to improve.

The issue you are referring to was fixed a few months ago; if you install the Vertex Upgrade Patch (http://www.shape5.com/component/option,com_docman/Itemid,96/task,cat_view/gid,308/), your theme will be updated to the latest version of the framework, and the problem should be resolved.

We will check it. And one more thing. Recently our site has undergone a malware attack [SEO SPAM] and it is gradually spreading to network school sites....
Could you recommend some possible measures to prevent it in future. We updated Wordpress and other plugins after first findings. But it is spreading for second time after installing all the security tools.

We tried installing patch, but it created new 3 errors.

Uncaught SyntaxError: Unexpected token && 

Reason: [ if (window.pageYOffset >= ????  && window.innerWidth > 750){ ]

s5_responsive_mobile_bar.js:8 Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'innerHTML' of null

Reason: Inside JS file [ s5_responsive_mobile_login_innerhtml=document.getElementById("s5box_login_inner").innerHTML;} ]

(index):2037 Uncaught TypeError: undefined is not a function

Reason: Unknown - s5mbox.resize();



So we reverted back to old one........

When installing the patch, it is also recommended to upgrade all plugins as well.  You should also make sure you don't skip any steps in the patch installation instructions.

As you are asking about a specific theme, I am now moving this thread to the correct board for that theme.
