As for the normal non-overlay style can you please overwrite your s5_flex_menu.css file with a fresh copy from the downloads and let me know if this fixes it? Also be sure to clear your browser cache when testing after your overwrite

So its actually sliding to the right vs vertically because of this. To change you would need to duplicate the template in Joomla and then assign the duplicate to the pages you want the overlay menu not to show on and then set the menu to vertical.
